9.4Use of payment service providers (payment services)

This website offers one or more online payment methods from the following provider: Amazon Payments Europe s.c.a., 38 avenue J.F. Kennedy, L-1855 Luxembourg

When selecting a payment method from the provider where you make an advance payment (such as credit card payment), your payment data provided during the order process (including name, address, bank and card information, currency, and transaction number) as well as information about the content of your order will be transmitted to them in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b GDPR. The transfer of your data in this case takes place exclusively for the purpose of payment processing with the provider and only to the extent necessary for this purpose.
- Apple Pay

If you choose the payment method “Apple Pay” of Apple Distribution International (Apple), Hollyhill Industrial Estate, Hollyhill, Cork, Ireland, the payment processing is carried out via the “Apple Pay” function of your device operating with iOS, watchOS, or macOS by charging a payment card stored with “Apple Pay.” Apple Pay uses security features that are integrated into the hardware and software of your device to protect your transactions. To authorize a payment, it is therefore necessary to enter a code previously set by you and to verify via the “Face ID” or “Touch ID” function of your device.

For the purpose of payment processing, the information you provide during the ordering process, together with information about your order, is transmitted to Apple in encrypted form. Apple then encrypts this data again with a developer-specific key before the data is sent to the payment service provider of the payment card stored in Apple Pay for the execution of the payment. The encryption ensures that only the website through which the purchase was made can access the payment data. After the payment has been made, Apple sends your device account number and a transaction-specific, dynamic security code to the originating website to confirm the success of the payment.

If personal data is processed in the described transmissions, the processing takes place exclusively for the purpose of payment processing in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR.

Apple stores anonymized transaction data, including the approximate purchase amount, the approximate date and approximate time, as well as whether the transaction was successfully completed. Anonymization completely excludes any personal reference. Apple uses the anonymized data to improve "Apple Pay" and other Apple products and services.

When you use Apple Pay on your iPhone or Apple Watch to complete a purchase that you made via Safari on your Mac, the Mac and the authorization device communicate over an encrypted channel on Apple servers. Apple does not process or store any of this information in a format that can identify you personally. You can disable the use of Apple Pay on your Mac in the settings of your iPhone. Go to "Wallet & Apple Pay," and turn off "Allow Payments on Mac."

Further information on data protection with Apple Pay can be found at the following internet address: https://support.apple.com/de-de/HT203027

If you choose the “Google Pay” payment method from Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland (“Google”), the payment will be processed via the “Google Pay” application on your mobile device running at least Android 4.4 (“KitKat”) and with an NFC function by debiting a payment card stored with Google Pay or a payment system verified there (e.g. PayPal). In order to approve a payment via Google Pay in the amount of more than €25, you must first unlock your mobile device using the verification measure that has been set up (e.g. facial recognition, password, fingerprint or pattern).

For the purpose of payment processing, the information you provided during the ordering process, along with the information about your order, will be passed on to Google. Google then transmits your payment information stored in Google Pay in the form of a unique transaction number to the originating website, which is used to verify a payment made. This transaction number does not contain any information about the real payment details of your payment methods stored with Google Pay, but is created and transmitted as a one-time valid numerical token. For all transactions via Google Pay, Google only acts as an intermediary to process the payment process. The transaction is carried out exclusively between the user and the source website by debiting the payment method stored with Google Pay.

If personal data is processed during the transfers described, the processing takes place exclusively for the purpose of payment processing in accordance with Article 6 (1) (b) GDPR.

Google reserves the right to collect, store and evaluate certain process-specific information for every transaction made via Google Pay. This includes the date, time and amount of the transaction, merchant location and description, a description of the goods or services purchased provided by the merchant, photographs you included with the transaction, the name and email address of the seller and buyer or the sender and recipient, the payment method used, your description of the reason for the transaction, and, if applicable, the offer associated with the transaction.

According to Google, this processing is carried out exclusively in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR on the basis of the legitimate interest in proper accounting, the verification of process data and the optimization and functionality of the Google Pay service.

Google also reserves the right to combine the processed process data with other information that is collected and stored by Google when you use other Google services.

12) Retargeting/Remarketing and Conversion Tracking

12.1Meta Pixel

Within our online offerings, we use the service "Meta Pixel" from the following provider: Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Quare, Dublin 2, Ireland ("Meta").

If a user clicks on an advertisement we have placed on Facebook and/or Instagram, the URL of our linked page is extended with a parameter using "Meta Pixel". This URL parameter is then entered into the user's browser via a cookie set by our linked page itself after the redirection.

This makes it possible for Meta, on the one hand, to determine the visitors of our online offer as a target group for displaying ads (so-called "ads"). Accordingly, we use the service to show the Facebook and/or Instagram ads we place only to users who have also shown an interest in our online offer or who exhibit certain characteristics (e.g., interests in specific topics or products, determined based on the websites visited) that we transmit to Meta (so-called "Custom Audiences").

On the other hand, the "Meta Pixel" can be used to trace whether users were redirected to our website after clicking on an advertisement and which actions they perform there (so-called "conversion tracking").

The data collected is anonymous to us, meaning it does not allow us to draw any conclusions about the identity of the users. However, the data is stored and processed by Meta, making a connection to the respective user profile possible, and Meta can use the data for its own advertising purposes.

All the processing described above, in particular the setting of cookies to read information on the device used, is only carried out if you have given us your explicit consent pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future by deactivating this service in the "Cookie Consent Tool" provided on the website.

We have concluded a data processing agreement with the provider that ensures the protection of our site visitors' data and prohibits unauthorized sharing with third parties.

The information generated by Meta is usually transmitted to a Meta server and stored there; in this context, it may also be transmitted to servers of Meta Platforms Inc. in the USA.

For data transfers to the USA, the provider has joined the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which ensures compliance with the European data protection level based on an adequacy decision by the European Commission.

Any further data processing only takes place if you have consented to Google linking your Internet and app browsing history with your Google account and using information from your Google account to personalize ads that you view on the web. In this case, if you are logged into Google during your visit to our website, Google uses your data together with Google Analytics data to create and define audience lists for cross-device remarketing. For this purpose, your personal data is temporarily linked by Google with Google Analytics data to form audiences. As part of the use of Google Ads Remarketing, it may also result in a transfer of personal data to the servers of Google LLC in the USA.

All processing described above, in particular the setting of cookies to read information from the device used, will only be carried out if you have given us your explicit consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. In relation to the data from the advertising campaigns, we can determine how successful the individual advertising measures are. Our aim is to show you advertising that is of interest to you, to make our website more interesting for you, and to achieve a fair calculation of the advertising costs incurred.

The cookie for conversion tracking is set when a user clicks on an ad placed by Google Ads. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device. These cookies generally expire after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages of this website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and we can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page. Each Google Ads customer receives a different cookie. Thus, cookies cannot be tracked across the websites of Google Ads customers. The information collected with the help of the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for Google Ads customers who have opted for conversion tracking. The customers receive the total number of users who clicked on their ad and reached a page with a conversion tracking tag forwarded to the indicated page. However, you do not receive any information that allows users to be personally identified. In the context of using Google Ads, it may also result in the transfer of personal data to the servers of Google LLC in the USA.

Details on the processing triggered by Google Ads Conversion Tracking and on Google's handling of data from websites can be found here: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites

14.1- DATEV

For handling the accounting, we use the service of the cloud-based accounting software from the following provider: DATEV eG, Paumgartnerstr. 6-14, 90429 Nuremberg, Germany.

The provider processes incoming and outgoing invoices as well as, if applicable, the bank transactions of our company in order to automatically capture invoices, match them to the transactions, and thereby create the financial accounting in a semi-automated process.

If personal data is also processed in this context, the processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR based on our legitimate interest in an efficient organization and documentation of our business operations.

14.2Cookie consent tool

This website uses a so-called "cookie consent tool" to obtain effective user consents for cookies and cookie-based applications that require consent. The "cookie consent tool" is displayed to users when the page is loaded in the form of an interactive user interface, where consents for specific cookies and/or cookie-based applications can be granted by ticking checkboxes. Through the use of the tool, all cookies/services that require consent are only loaded if the respective user has given the corresponding consents by ticking checkboxes. This ensures that such cookies are only set on the user's device in the case of granted consent.

The tool sets technically necessary cookies to store your cookie preferences. Personal user data is not processed in this context.

If, in individual cases, the processing of personal data (such as the IP address) occurs for the purpose of storing, assigning, or logging cookie settings, this is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR based on our legitimate interest in legally compliant, user-specific, and user-friendly consent management for cookies and thus in a legally compliant design of our website.

Another legal basis for the processing is also Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR. As controllers, we are legally obliged to make the use of technically unnecessary cookies dependent on the respective user consent.

Where necessary, we have concluded a data processing agreement with the provider, which ensures the protection of our website visitors' data and prohibits unauthorized disclosure to third parties.

Further information about the operator and the configuration options of the cookie consent tool can be found directly in the corresponding user interface on our website.

IF YOU EXERCISE YOUR RIGHT OF OBJECTION, WE WILL STOP PROCESSING THE DATA CONCERNED. FURTHER PROCESSING IS ONLY PERMITTED, HOWEVER, IF WE CAN DEMONSTRATE COMPELLING LEGITIMATE GROUNDS FOR THE PROCESSING THAT OVERRIDE YOUR INTERESTS, RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS, OR IF THE PROCESSING SERVES THE ESTABLISHMENT, EXERCISE OR DEFENSE OF LEGAL CLAIMS.

IF YOUR PERSONAL DATA IS PROCESSED BY US FOR THE PURPOSE OF DIRECT MARKETING, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT AT ANY TIME TO THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA FOR SUCH MARKETING PURPOSES. YOU CAN EXERCISE THE OBJECTION AS DESCRIBED ABOVE.

If there are statutory retention periods for data processed in the context of contractual or contract-like obligations on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR, this data is routinely deleted after the retention periods expire, provided it is no longer necessary for the fulfillment or initiation of the contract and/or we have no legitimate interest in further storage.

When processing personal data on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR, this data is stored until you exercise your right to object under Art. 21 para. 1 GDPR, unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate reasons for the processing that override your interests, rights, and freedoms, or the processing serves the assertion, exercise, or defense of legal claims.

When processing personal data for the purpose of direct marketing on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, this data will be stored until you exercise your right to object under Art. 21(2) GDPR.

Unless otherwise specified in the other information of this declaration regarding specific processing situations, stored personal data will otherwise be deleted when it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or otherwise processed.
