Frequently asked questions
Felt mats made from sheep's wool - of course for the garden
The felt mats made from 100% pure sheep's wool are a versatile helper in the garden. They are ideal as weed protection, root protection, evaporation protection and soil improver. Sheep's wool stores moisture, keeps the soil evenly moist for longer and has an insulating effect at the same time. Due to the slow decomposition, the wool provides additional nutrients such as nitrogen - completely naturally.
Additional frost protection: The natural wool structure acts like an insulating blanket. It protects plant roots from frost and temperature fluctuations - ideal for overwintering sensitive plants, beds and perennials. This means the roots remain active longer and frost-related damage is significantly reduced.
Typical areas of application
- Beds, raised beds & vegetable growing
- Young trees & bushes
- Potted plants & perennials
- Overwintering roses, herbs & frost-sensitive plants
- Mulch and protective layer in flower beds
Different sizes
- 1.5 x 0.5 m - ideal for individual plants or pots
- 2 x 1 m - perfect for small beds and plant groups
