I use the Ollas in raised beds or balcony beds. I am very satisfied as the plants seem to be well cared for. In the raised garden bed, the rather dry surface soil seems to make it difficult for the snails to move forward. So far I haven't had any significant snail infestation, but that may be partly due to the long period of frost and snow.

Last year I used both L and M sizes of Ollas. I was very satisfied and this year I ordered even more M-size (3.5 liters) because they fit better in my beds. I am fascinated by this type of irrigation. This form is suitable for vegetable gardens. For perennial or shrub beds (like hydrangeas), this form is not suitable because when digging in autumn, the roots of perennial plants are damaged. For those, the shape with the cone pointing downwards is better. I made one myself by closing the hole of a ceramic pot at the bottom. In autumn I took it out, dried it, wrapped it in a plastic bag, and put it back into the existing hole for overwintering. It would be good if they offered something like this.

We are very happy with the Ollas. We watered cucumber, pepper and tomato plants this year and are super satisfied. We also had mulch on the plants and therefore only needed to fill up the ollas once or twice a week and the plants had enough water. Unfortunately, one of Olla was broken when it was dug up. Delivery took a little longer, but everything was okay!
