A disadvantage is that if I put the glass bottle filled too tightly into the clay cone because I don't want to lose as much water by turning it over, it breaks easily. I know because the cone didn't burn up. Otherwise I'm very happy with the system!

I'm satisfied, but I don't have any long-term experience. It's great for 1 week, there was even water in the bottles sometimes. We used it in pots and raised beds, although it is easier in raised beds because the part should be sunk as far as possible, which is not always possible in pots.

The irrigation clay cones have proven to be very successful for us. We use them in larger outdoor plant pots where they were also easy to plant. 0.75 liter mineral water bottles (glass) filled with water, which are placed upside down in the clay cones, represent the respective water reservoir. They are stable in the clay cones, but they have to be refilled approximately every week (depending on how dry it is).

The clay cones worked very well. We were on vacation for a week and the plants survived the time well. However, I find the item description a bit misleading, as it is not immediately obvious that you need an additional insert for PET bottles (which I actually wanted to use).

Works very well! Used it in combination with a French droplet system. My plants (bamboo, vines, tomatoes, perennials, grasses) survived well for a week in summer temperatures of 34 to 37 degrees. Clear recommendation from me!

This irrigation system works great. Unfortunately, there was an infestation of fungus gnats in the greenhouse. So I had to additionally irrigate with nematodes and keep the top layer of soil moist twice for 2 weeks. This led to late blight and brown rot and the tomatoes no longer look good in photos.

The clay cones are completely okay in terms of quality and size. When inserting into the soil, you shouldn't stress the cones too much, they break easily. One star is deducted for the price / because unfortunately they are not made in the EU but made in China. This has nothing to do with sustainability/eco-transport. I prefer to pay a little more if it is produced regionally.

I now use all 12 clay cones, two of them broke due to incorrect use on my part (don't try to force the cones deeper into the ground with pressure on the glass bottle, otherwise they will break). My hemp plants are in the south and get direct sun, every 48 hours 2x 700ml bottles are empty. For my olive tree, the bottle lasts almost 7 days... Conclusion, watering as a basic requirement works perfectly, in my case I have to water every two days, but that's for the plants.

The clay cones are great. I can water the potted plants and small raised beds with empty glass bottles. It evaporates less than when watering. So it saves water. I discovered the idea at the state horticultural show in Wangen im Allgäu.
